Accreditations and Affiliations

Jack Petchey

We try to bring added value as a club and are signed up members of the Jack Petchey Awards scheme.

Duke Of Edinburgh

We also help out our young players who are going through their Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) awards and offer volunteering opportunities at the club. Alternatively, they can use Korfball as their DoE skill.

Sport England Clubmark

We are London’s only Sport England Clubmark accredited Korfball Club meaning we have met their rigorous quality standards.

Clubmark is a Sport England initiative given in recognition of the values and commitments of a club. The aim of Clubmark is to :

  • Ensure that accrediting partners apply core common criteria to ensure that consistent good practice and minimum operating standards are delivered through all club development and accreditation schemes.
  • To empower parent(s)/carer(s) when choosing a club for their children.
  • To ensure that Clubmark accredited clubs are recognised through a common approach to branding.
  • To provide a focus around which all organisations involved in sport can come together to support good practice in sports clubs working with children and young people.

This is a real recognition of the values and ethos of Bromley Korfball and new members can be assured that the club is run to the highest standards, as well as being great fun playing an exciting sport.

Gymnasiasten Korfbal Vereniging (GKV)

Over a number of years we have developed a friendship with Gymnasiasten Korfbal Vereniging (GKV) a Korfball club from the Hague in the Netherlands. They have a similar philosophy to our own and the relationship has allowed some of our more senior players to travel to home of Korfball to experience coaching and competition at the highest level and to take in the Dutch culture and outlook on life!
